Rammohan was declared elected as Mayor by Hyderabad Collector and presiding officer Rahul Bojja at a meeting of the newly elected corporators of GHMC.
The ruling TRS in Telangana scored a thumping victory in the recent GHMC elections by winning 99 out of the 150 wards in the civic body.

Rammohan, who won from Cherlapally ward, has been an active leader of TRS youth wing.
Baba Fassiuddin, corporator from Borabanda, was elected Deputy Mayor in the elections.
