TRS leader killed by villager

A local leader of the ruling TRS was stabbed to death allegedly by a villager in Rajanna Sirrcilla district, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday in Kothapalli village under Gambhiraopet police limits of the district, they said.
According to the police, the TRS leader, Benaveni Devaiah Yadav (35), was fatally stabbed by a villager when he was returning from a function in Kothapalli village.
"We suspect personal enmity between Devaiah and the accused led to the murder," Venkataramana, Rajanna Sircilla Deputy Superintendent of Police, said.
He said efforts were on to arrest the accused, whose identity was not revealed by the police.
