Truck driver shot at in UP

A truck driver was injured when few
unknown assailants fired upon him in a bid to stop the vehicle near Virampur village here.
The victim Vinay Tiwari (28) who was driving a truck carrying stone slabs from Bulandshahar to Lucknow, was shot at yesterday by armed men after they failed to stop the vehicle at gunpoint, police said.
It is suspected that the assailants wanted to loot the victim, they said.
The injured driver has been admitted to Agra Medical College in a serious condition, police said.
An FIR was registered against unidentified persons, they said, adding no arrests have been made yet.
