The police department is of the view that friendly interaction with complainants, showing compassion to victims, and treating everyone with courtesy are of key importance.
One of the key objectives set out by TSP is to achieve a citizen-friendly police, for which the programme would focus on enhancing the capacity for empathy and compassion, it said.
Appearance, body language, social grace, attitude, optimism, communication skills, and conflict resolution are some of the aspects to be covered in the training programme, the release said.
