A special court here on Thursday sentenced a 42-year-old teacher to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment for sexually abusing boys who attended his tuition.
A case was registered against Salvio D'sa, the accused, at Bhoiwada police station here in 2014.
Sessions judge Madhuri More held him guilty under IPC section 377 (unnatural sex) and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act on Thursday.
According to the prosecution, D'sa called students to his house for extra class at night, and sexually abused them when they were asleep.
