Turmeric and jeera prices rose further up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today largely supported by fall in supplies from producing belts against buying support from stockists due to rising export demand.
Firming trend in futures market also supported the uptrend.
Turmeric prices rose by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 8,000-12,100 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 10,900-11,000 and Rs 13,300-13,800 per quintal.
Traders said buying support from stockists on the back of rising demand from exporters, mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
