Turncoats galore in Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today took potshots at the BJP, saying the saffron party did not have candidates to contest the Lok Sabha elections in Haryana and was borrowing from other parties.
Addressing a series of meetings in Panchkula while campaigning for Congress candidate from Ambala Lok Sabha seat, Raj Kumar Balmiki, Hooda said the saffron party was unable to find suitable candidates in Haryana and has been offering seats to those joining it from other parties.
BJP in Haryana lacked leadership and the upcoming election results would make clear the real position of BJP, he said.
BJP is fielding its candidates from eight seats, half of whom have Congress background. Notable among them are Rao Inderjit Singh, contesting from Gurgaon, and Dharambir Singh from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh.

Ramesh Kaushik, who quit Congress a few months back will be contesting from Sonepat on the louts symbol. He was given the BJP ticket ignoring Pradeep Sangwan, a front-runner from the region.
BJP has also fielded R K Saini, a party hopper, from Kurukshetra constituency. He was a leader in the now-defunct Haryana Vikas Party, which later merged with Congress.
In Karnal, BJP has put up Ashwini Chopra 'Minna', owner of a leading vernacular newspaper, based in Delhi, while it has three candidates from within its own ranks in Ambala, Faridabad and Rohtak.
