Tusker attacks 55-year-old man

A wild tusker attacked a man at a village in Tholipetty forest range of Wayanad Wildlife sanctuary, injuring him seriously, officials today said.
The lone tusker attacked the 55-year-old man yesterday and destroyed some houses and a cattle-shed in the area.
The man's nine-year-old daughter had a miraculous escape, forest officials said.
A team of forest officials, on information, reached the spot and managed to drive away the pachyderm into the forest.
Three days ago, the same elephant had attacked a motorcyclist near Thirunelly.He was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode,they said.
