TVS Motor elevates Sudarshan Venu as its Joint MD

Two and three wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has elevated Sudarshan Venu, son of company Chairman and Managing Director Venu Srinivasan and TAFE Chairperson Mallika Srinivasan, as the Joint Managing Director with immediate effect.
Earlier Sudarshan Venu was serving the company as its Whole Time Director.
"The company is steadily increasing its market share and the volume of its business. Global business has also been increasing. Sudarshan Venu as Whole-Time Director has been actively participating in the activities of the company and has considerably increased his engagement in and contribution to the progress of the company", Chennai-based TVS Motor Company said in a statement.

"Under these circumstances, the Board of Directors of the company has appointed Sudarshan Venu as its Joint Managing Director", it said.
Similarly, daughter of Venu Srinivasan, Lakshmi Venu has been elevated as an Additional, Non Executive Director of the company with immediate effect.
Sudarshan Venu will function under the advice and guidance of Venu Srinivasan while Lakshmi Venu would serve as the woman director of the Board in compliance with the provisions of Companies Act and the Listing Agreement, the statement said.
Lakshmi Venu also serves as Vice President (Global Business) at the Sundaram Clayton, the group company of TVS Motors.
