The company had sold 2,32,517 units in the same month last year, TVS Motor Co said in a statement.
Total two-wheeler sales during the month increased by 10.7 per cent to 2,50,979 units as against 2,26,643 units in the same month a year ago, it added.

Motorcycle sales were up 10.3 per cent to 95,671 units in March 2017 as compared to 86,776 units in the same month a year ago.
Scooter sales during the month grew by 23.5 per cent to 84,173 units from 68,161 units in March 2016, it said.
Three-wheeler sales were at 5,362 units in March 2017 as against 5,874 units in the same month last year, down 8.71 per cent, TVS Motor said.
The company's total exports were up 23.6 per cent to 38,462 units in last month compared to 31,121 units in the March 2016.
Two-wheeler exports grew 28.5 per cent to 33,984 units last month from 26,453 units in March 2016, the company said.
