A case was yesterday registered against Sushil Kumar, son of a former village head, Sandeep, Paley, Babu and Ankit in connection with the murder, Circle Officer Jagdish Singh said, adding, Sushil and Babu were later arrested.
Meanwhile, security has been tightened and additional police force has been deployed in the village in view of the tension, he said.
A 55-year-old man Jai Prakash was beaten to death by unidentified persons at Kaklapur village on Thursday night.
