Sharafat (36), resident of Chittorgarh district, was arrested from a coach of Mandsore- Meerut Express on Monday night and 500 grams of smack was seized from his bag, Sanjay Sharma, Station House Officer(SHO) said.
The value of the seized drug is about 50 lakhs in the international market, the SHO said, adding that a rail ticket from Mandalgarh to Mathura was also recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile, a 55-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly possessing 2 kg of opium, police said today.
During interrogation, the woman peddler revealed she had come to Kota and was seeking to travel to Ludhiana by train, the police official further said.
The duo was produced before a local court yesterday from where they were sent to one day police remand, the SHO said.
