Two arrested with 'ashtadhatu' idol worth Rs 20 crore

Two persons were arrested with an 'ashtadhatu' idol worth Rs 20 crore in Lakhimpur district, a police spokesman said here.
The two identified as Suaram and Raghunath were arrested by Nighasan police near Awghad baba temple yesterday and an 'ashtadhatu' idol of Lord Laxman, weighing 35 kilogram, was recovered from them, police said.
The police have also recovered a country-made firearm, a motorcycle and a mobile phone from their possession.
