Baldev Singh and Dharampal, both residents of Uttar Pradesh, were burnt alive as the truck carrying iron rods from Kangra to Sunni-chabba valley caught fire after it skidded off the road and fell in a ditch near Ukhli village, they said.

A team of police officers and Home guards reached the spot and extricated the charred bodies from the debris of the truck.

The bodies were taken to Hamirpur hospital and handed over to family members after post mortem, police said.
