Two communities clash in Gandhinagar, 15 cops injured

Fifteen policemen were injured in a clash that erupted between two communities in Adalaj area near Gandhinagar tonight, prompting the police to open fire to bring the situation under control.
"A clash erupted near Akshar complex at Adalaj near Gandhinagar town. Police had to lob around 15 teargas shells to disperse the rampaging mob and had to fire around 20 rounds to stop the clash," Gandhinagar district Superintendent of Police Sharad Singhal told PTI.
Around 15 policemen, including an inspector were injured in stone pelting by the mob, he said.
Police has cordoned off the area to control the situation, Singhal said.
