The incident occurred in the house of one Mehmood in residential colony in Chaksu town when the cylinders caught fire.
Mehmood, his family members and locals tried to put out the flames but it engulfed the house and also damaged neighbouring buildings, they said.
"13 people, who were injured in the incident, were rushed to hospital but 40-year-old Vinod and seven-year-old boy Saad succumbed to burn injuries," police said, Mehmood, his father and others were being treated.
