vigilante justice, a mob today lynched two eve-teasers in a village in Begusarai district.
Sub-divisional police officer Rajkishore Singh said the incident took place at Ramdiri village when the mob turned violent after one eveteaser shot and injured a villager when he protested against their harassing a local girl.
The mob caught two of the eve teasers and beat them up mercilessly. One of the eve teasers died on the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Two other eveteasers, however, managed to flee, he said.
The two lynched men were identified and the police seized a carbine, a pistol, besides some live and empty cartridges from the spot, Singh said, adding, a probe was on in the matter.
