Two fishermen dead in boat mishap off Kakinada coast

Two fishermen from the Vizag region died and five others suffered injuries when a motorized fishing boat they were in capsized near Kakinada coast in East Godavari district in the early hours of today.
The fishermen belonged to Bangarammapalem area under S Rayavaram police station limits in Vizag district, police said.
Sub-Inspector K Kumaraswamy of S Rayavaram police station said that the fishermen had ventured into the deep sea for fishing on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred when their boat capsized due to technical glitches while the seven were returning to the shore.
He said that U Satish died in the incident while another fisherman M Sathayya died while he was undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

A case has been registered in connection with the mishap, police said.
