Two persons hailing from Andhra Pradesh have been arrested on charges of trying to get US visa on forged papers, police said today.
V Sivaramakrishna and Upendra Reddy, both from Guntur in that state, had forged papers to show as if they were employed in the Bangalore branch of a purported US-headquarted company, Theorem Clinical Research, they said.
They were arrested based on a complaint filed by the officials of the US Consulate General here.
They were arrested under different sections of the IPC, including cheating, and remanded to custody.
They had appeared for a visa interview on Wednesday.
