The Civil and Sessions Judge B M Naik acquitted four others due to lack of evidence while convicting Jignesh Soni and Rakesh Pandya for shooting dead Pradip Babubhai Kavishwar alias Pradip "Don" near his residence at Khadia area here on July 5, 2009.
The duo were held guilty under sections 302 (murder) of IPC and Arms Act.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed briefly in the court premises post the verdict, when supporters of the "Don" roughed up a witness who turned hostile in course of trial.
