The court relied upon the forensic reports to held Mohd Jaffar and Mohd Tanvir, residents of Bihar, guilty of the offence under section 302 (murder) of the IPC and also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh each on the convicts.
"It is said that dead man do not tell a tale but forensics has changed it all and has proved that even dead can indeed tell a tale, as has happened in the present case," Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau observed.
The court ordered that the fine amount of Rs two lakh be given to the victim's parents.
According to police, on October 30, 2011, both the men had murdered the boy in a park in north west Delhi, days after they had an altercation with the victim's father on a trivial issue of putting cable and electricity wire in front of the rented premises of both the accused.
During the altercation, the victim's father had slapped one of the two accused, who were under the influence of liquor, after which they had threatened him with dire consequences, police had said.
