A woman filed a complaint with police that her 22-year-old daughter was abducted by a man on the pretext of marrying her in the district, a police spokesman said today.
The woman of Urban Estate complained that her daughter was abducted by Kuldip of Bhagat Singh Colony when she stepped out of the house for some work.
Police have registered a case and are trying to locate the girl.
In another incident, a man alleged that his minor daughter was abducted by three persons in Torikheri village here.
A case has been registered and investigations are on, they added.
