Devendra Tyagi, a resident of Mainapur village, was shot dead last night over a scuffle with the accused, they said.
SHO of Kavinagar police station Ashok Sisodia said the altercation began when a member of one Robin Tyagi's family was driving and accidentally splashed muddy water on Devendra's brother, Yogender.
Following this, heated arguments were exchanged and both sides threw stones at each other.
Meanwhile, Robin reached the spot and fired three bullets in the air from his licensed pistol. One of the bullets hit Devendra in his chest killing him on spot, the SHO said.
