Two held for trying to rob woman

Two persons were arrested today for trying to rob a 30-year-old woman while she was travelling in an auto in Kavi Nagar area here, police said.
The incident took place when Babita, a resident of Harsoon area of the district, was returning from her Delhi's parental home along with her 5-year-old son after celebrating Raksha Bandhan, they said.
The four accused, who posed as driver and co-passengers, tried to rob the victim in the running auto near Kavinagar flyover.
Later, she raised an alarm after which the passers-by rushed to her help, police said.
However, two of them, identified as Haroon and Amjad were caught by the people while two of their accomplices managed to fled from the spot.

A case has been registered against the duo while efforts are on to nab the remaining accused, they added.
