Two history-sheeters arrested; over 900 detained

: Two persons involved in a murder case and in other thefts were today arrested during a random raid, police said.
They said the duo riding a two wheeler were stopped during a random check near Kotturpuram Railway Station and questioned.
The two, identified as Sarathkumar (24) and Pandi (26), revaled that they were involved in the murder of a woman here and were fleeing after robbing a man of his cell phone and money at another area, they said.
Meanwhile, 989 persons were detained during a storming operation last night under suspicion, while another 23 were detained under Sections 109 and 110 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and 23 persons on charges of drunken drive, Police said in a release.
