Addl SP ACB Thane Division, Srinivas Ghadge told PTI that the duo had demanded Rs 15,000 from the complainant, a stone quarrey owner for reducing his penalty amount and not not take any further action on him.
Aggrieved, he lodged a complaint with the Ratnagiri unit of the ACB, following which ACB sleuths laid a trap at the Dapoli Tehsil office last evening and caught accused Nitin Shirke (28) a data operator, accepting the bribe money on behalf of Tehsildar Nathaji Saghat (32).
