The incident occurred at around 8.30 pm in a residential complex at Vikrabad, resulting in the death of a woman identified as Vasantha, (aged about 40) and Karthik (4), while 14 others suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the blast was yet to be established though preliminary investigations indicate that it was due to storage of gelatin sticks in one of the houses, a police officer said.
