Two killed, 26 hurt in road mishap

Two persons were killed and 26 others, including ten women and four children, were injured when the van in which they were travelling overturned at Podurupalli village today, police said.
The incident occurred when driver of the vehicle lost control while negotiating a sharp turn on the outskirts of Podurupalli village, said Kataram Circle Inspector G. Sadan Kumar.
The deceased were part of a group from Mogullapally in Warangal district that visited Kaleshwaram temple in Karimnagar district in morning to perform some rituals.
The deceased are identified as Yara Mohan Reddy (45) and his brother Malla Reddy (42).
Police suspect that the van was over-crowded when the incident occurred.
