Two killed in coal mine accident

Two miners were killed today when a coal mine caved in at Church Victoria area near Dhanbad of Jharkhand.
"Two miners were killed on the spot when the roof near the entrance of a pit inside Basanti Mata coal mine caved in at around 11.15 AM," said Asok Sarkar, Director Technical of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).
The work in the affected part of the coal mine near West Bengal and Jharkhand border has been suspended, officials said.
Sarkar said nobody was trapped inside the affected mine and all the miners have been evacuated.
