The accident took place when the van was taking a turn on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in Vasai and a luxury bus coming from behind rammed into it, they said.
Two occupants of the van died on the spot, while the third one was injured, they said.
The deceased were identified as Manoj Kumar Mahajan (35) and Mohammad M Shaikh (40).
