Two killed in lightning strike in Krishna dist

Two labourers were killed and as many were injured in separate incidents due to lightning strike in Krishna district, police said today.
Labour T Mareswara Rao (26) was killed last evening after lightning struck him while he was working in an agricultural field at Cheepurugudem village in Chatrai mandal in the district, a police official said.
Two more labourers were also injured in the incident and were admitted to a hospital.
In Chintalapudi mandal, a 40-year-old labourer was also killed in a lightning strike due to heavy rainfall.
The deceased was identified as K Nagesu, the officer said, adding that cases have been registered in connection with both the incidents.
