The train collided with the truck at the unmanned level crossing between Sampla and Asauda station of Delhi division at 1:15 PM, a Northern Railway spokesman said.

The truck driver and a train passenger were killed in the accident, he said.

The Railways blamed the truck driver for the accident.

"The accident was caused due to careless driving of the truck driver," the spokesman said.

The accident affected the services of few trains, including Rohtak-Old Delhi train and Old Delhi-Shamli train.

In a similar mishap today, four girl students were killed and 19 others injured when a speeding mini local train rammed into their school bus at an unmanned railway crossing at Kot Mehtab Singh village near Amritsar.
