Two persons were today killed and three others injured when their auto-rickshaw rammed into a civic-run BEST bus in suburban Malad, police said.
"The mishap occurred when the victims, all in an inebriated state, were returning after visiting the Danapani beach," an official of the Malwani police station said.
The deceased have been identified as auto-driver Zubair Qadri (48) and Satish Sode (35).
"Qadri did not see the bus and rammed his vehicle into it. The injured are being treated at a hospital and their condition was stated to be stable," the officer said.
A case has been registered and statement of the eye-witnesses were being recorded, he said.
