Acting on information provided by a Maoist operative Chhedi Paswan who was arrested yesterday from a village located on the border of Bhojpur and Rohtas district, the police raided Nurpur village and nabbed the two ultras identified as Sonadhari Yadav and Rambabu Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police (SP) Naveen Chandra Jha said.
A haul of arms and ammunitions comprising five cylinder bombs, two can bombs, one country-made pistol, six detonators, wire and materials used for making explosives were seized from the embankment of Sone river in the same village, he said.
The arms and explosives were meant vitiating law and order situation during the Assembly polls, the SP added.
