Two men, carrying rewards of Rs 1.25 lakh and 25,000 for allegedly killing a man in outer Delhi's Mangolpuri last year, were arrested, police said today.

The accused, identified as Himanshu Gujjar and Vikas, were absconding after killing one Deepak alias Kanaita in a crowded market, they said.

Gujjar was carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh, while Vikas was carrying a cash reward of Rs 25,000 on his head, police said.

Gujjar's father, Mukesh, who had been absconding for the last 9-10 years, was arrested on June 17 from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. He was allegedly planning to kill the witnesses in Deepak's killing case, police said.

On June 28, police learnt that Himanshu and Vikas were present in Arnia village of Bulandshahar district in Uttar Pradesh.

A trap was laid and the accused were subsequently nabbed, police said.

In April last year, one Deepak had allegedly molested a female relative of the duo, said DR G Ram Gopal Naik, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime).

On June 8 last year, Gujjar, along with his cousin Vikas and other associate Faizal, shot dead Deepak in M-Block Market, Mangolpuri, the official said.

Both Gujjar and Vikas were absconding since then and one of their associates was arrested in that case, he added.
