Two NIT students drown in waterfall

Two students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, drowned while they were taking a bath in a waterfall in Mahupali area of this district, police said today.
Nishant Rawat (22) of Uttarkhand and Soumya Ranjan Baral (22) of Puri were among 35 students who had been to Gudguda fall for a picnic when the mishap occurred yesterday, Sub-divisional Police Officer, Kuchinda, R P Sahu said.
All the students were of final year civil engineering department of NIT-R.
The body of Nishant was fished out yesterday, while that of Baral was retrieved today, police said.
