Secretary and a Senior Assistant working at Agriculture Market Committee here were today arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking Rs 50,000 as bribe.
Both the officials (names withheld) were caught by ACB sleuths at Agriculture Market Committee Office in Malakpet while taking the bribe money, an ACB release said.
The Special Secretary had demanded Rs 1 lakh from a person for doing an official favour. The person approached the ACB, which laid a trap and caught the Senior Assistant when he was accepting half of that amount on behalf of his senior officer, it said.
