Two PCs transferred for demanding bribe from car driver

Two police constables attached to Kallikudi Police station were transferred today to the Armed Reserve Police following a complaint that they had demanded Rs 20,000 from a car driver, police said.
The constables had demanded the amount to help the car driver Madasamy get bail in the accident case.
Two persons died in the accident involving the car and a two wheeler on September 14.
The SP, Vijendra Bidari, who conducted a departmental enquiry transferred them to the armed Reserve Police wing, they said.
