Two people arrested for slaughtering buffalo without licence

The UP police has arrested two people for allegedly slaughtering a buffalo without a licence at Niyazupura locality here.
Shahzad and Nadeem were arrested following a raid on their house, which yielded 20 kg of buffalo meat and three buffalo skins, the police said today.
A case has been registered against them, they added.
In a separate incident, the police arrested a man for allegedly trying to slaughter a cow in Khudda village here.
Vikas was arrested after he was found transporting the animal for slaughter, the police said.
