Nirjuli Electric Division Executive Engineer in a release today informed that the persons who were electrocuted yesterday, included a boy in Banderdewa area who came into contact with it and a power department staff engaged in repairing work of the 11 kv line between Khemyir to Jote.
The electrocution of the power department staff occurred due to miscommunication and lack of coordination among the staff on duty, he said adding both are undergoing treatment at hospital.
Power supply has been completely disrupted at PTC, Banderdewa Check gate, Khandakhowa Nallah, Karsingsa and its adjoining areas.
Multiple damages have also occurred at Balijan and Kimin where repairing was being taken up on war footing, the release said.
