Two persons have been electrocuted due to damage of an 11 Kv high tension line due to incessant rain accompanied by storm in the last couple of days in Arunachal Pradesh capital.
Nirjuli Electric Division Executive Engineer in a release today informed that the persons who were electrocuted yesterday, included a boy in Banderdewa area who came into contact with it and a power department staff engaged in repairing work of the 11 kv line between Khemyir to Jote.
The electrocution of the power department staff occurred due to miscommunication and lack of coordination among the staff on duty, he said adding both are undergoing treatment at hospital.
The department informed that the 11 Kv HT line has sustained heavy damages in multiple places due to the rains and storms.
Power supply has been completely disrupted at PTC, Banderdewa Check gate, Khandakhowa Nallah, Karsingsa and its adjoining areas.
