Two persons killed, four injured in road mishaps

Two persons were killed and four others got injured in two separate road mishaps in the city, the police said today.
A transport businessman was killed on the spot, while his wife, two children and driver were injured when a car in which they were travelling rammed into a truck on National Highway number 8 near Harmara in the wee hours today, the police said.
The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Garg of Surat, and his family was coming to Paota when the mishap occurred, they said. Four injured were rushed to the SMS hospital, where woman's condition was critical, they said, adding the truck has been impounded and its driver detained.

In another mishap, a labourer was knocked down by a truck near Khasa Kothi late last night, they said. The deceased was yet to be identified, the police said.
