Police gave the names of the deceased as Sajeena (24) and car driver Kajesh (27).
Sajeena's father Suresh (46) and mother Jameela (40) and the lorry driver were hospitalised.
They were on their way from Kannur to Thrissur to meet their son working in a public sector undertaking when the mishap occurred, police said.
