Two policemen booked on corruption charges in Punjab

Two cops were today booked and placed under suspension on alleged charges of corruption, police said.
The accused have been identified as Assistant Sub Inspector Baljinder Singh and Head Constable Surinderjit Singh, both posted at Kot Ise Khan.
According to police, the two were booked following a complaint of a chemist who alleged that they had demanded money from him to remove his name from a case registered recently for selling banned drugs.
No arrests have been made so far, police added.
