In the first incident, the woman observer Sunita Singh was arrested from CDPO office at Kashichak in Nawada district allegedly while taking Rs 9,000 from one Sujata Kumari for signing documents related to purchase of food grains. The VIB team was led by DSP Mohammad Jamiruddin.
Similarly, another VIB team nabbed revenue official Chandra Shekhar Prasad working at Pusa circle in Samastipur district while allegedly accepting a graft of Rs 10,000 from one Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary for giving a receipt related to his land. Vigilance DSP Vijay Pratap Singh led the team in this case.
Both the arrested public officials are currently being interrogated and would be produced in a vigilance court later on.
