Sheikh Hafizul (24) and his elder brother Shiekh Tariq Hussain (27) were killed on the spot when a bomb exploded in their house in the wee hours, Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar said.
The victims' brother Jabir Hussain, who is a Trinamool Congress representative in the local gram panchayat, and other family members escaped unhurt.
The intensity of the blast was so high that a portion of the house was blown up, he said.
Police are investigating the incident, Kumar said.
