A 55-year-old woman and her daughter-in-law were electrocuted to death after they came in contact with a live electric wire on the roof top of their house in Bramer district, the police said today.
The husband of the woman too suffered electric shock and was injured while trying to save the duo and was referred to Jodhpur for treatment, they said.
The police said Maya Kanwar, 30, came in contact of the live wire when she was spreading clothes on an iron wire on the roof top of her house.
Hearing her screams, her mother-in-law Raja Devi, 55, and father-in-law Padam Singh rushed to the save her but they themselves came in contact with the wire.
All three were rushed to a local hospital where both the women were declared "brought dead" while Padam Singh was referred to a Jodhpur hospital after primary treatment, the police said.
