Two women killed in Sasaram

Two women were hacked to death by a mentally challenged person in Kaimur hills near Nawadih village of Rohtas district in Bihar today, police said.
Enraged villagers beat the mentally challenged man who succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Rohtas police station SHO Vijay Kumar Gupta said that the two deceased women have been identified as Kaushalya Devi (45) and Shavran Bibi (57). Both of them were residents of Nawadih village.
They had gone to the jungle to collect wood when Ravi Paswan, a resident of nearby village Sahiyar, attacked them with his axe, Gupta said.
Villagers caught hold of Paswan (35) and beat him mercilessly in which he was seriously injured, SHO said.
The injured person died at Rohtas primary health centre during treatment.
