Two casual workers belonging to a private firm were electrocuted and died in the spot while engaged in an underground cabling of high voltage electric wire, police said.
The work was carried out under jurisdiction of military engineering services (MES) leased out area to a private firm.
Though the two workers were immediately brought to the hospital, doctor declared them dead.
A case has been registered in the Chandipur Police Station in Balasore district.
