The brief session spread over three to four days will be held next month at Gairsain in Chamoli district, Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal said today.
The session will begin on June 9 at the site of the second Assembly building which is coming up in the Bhararisain area of Gairsain, he said.
The foundation for the said Assembly building was laid by previous chief minister Vijay Bahuguna in January, 2013, although the work is yet to commence on the construction, which is to be undertaken by National Buildings Construction Corporation.
Bahuguna had held a meeting of his Cabinet at Gairsain and, while announcing the decision to build a Vidhan Bhawan there, had also said that it would host at least one session of the state Assembly every year.
Gairsain is an emotive issue in Uttarakhand with a large section of those who fought for statehood in favour of the village being named as the hill state's permanent capital.
