U'khand govt to set up Rs 5 cr fund for devp of madrasas

Uttarkhand government today said it will set up a Rs five crore 'special development fund' for the development of madrasas in the state.
Uttarkhand Chief Harish Rawat, while addressing a press conference here, said that the government also constitute a seven-member committee which would suggest long term plans for improving the condition of madrasas.
The government would also set up similar development funds to improve the conditions of other minority institutions of the state, Rawat told reporters.
